Structural Designer (Oil&Gas)

The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Currently EDC is working on the products of three GE Infrastructure businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy, GE Oil&Gas. www.edcpolska.pl

Requirements:

• MSc or BSc in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• at least 2 years experience, preferably within the subsea industry, to areas of expertise and thorough knowledge in: Solid modeling with ProEngineer or other similar 3D product design CAD systems, Engineering drafting techniques, geometrical dimensioning and tolerances, Experience in mechanical hardware design and development, Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of linear and non-linear FEA for mechanical and structural systems, and analysis software such as ANSYS
• preferably to have a good understanding of production processes for metals
• strong grasp of materials
• highly proactive and results oriented
• high level of curiosity and creativity combined with strong analytical and problem solving skills
• knowledge of English language (communicative level - oral and written)
• self motivated and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• experience in Subsea industry is an advantage
