The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Currently EDC is working on the products of three GE Infrastructure businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy, GE Oil&Gas.

Wymagania:
- Minimum 3 years background in material properties and special processes
- Minimum 1 year experience with Non-Destructive Testing
- NDT Level II Certification (Radiographic Test, Magnetic Particle Inspection, Ultrasonic Inspection, Dye Penetrant Inspection)
- Knowledge of applying NDT technology to manufacturing applications
- Knowledge of the impact of manufacturing processes on the material properties
- Knowledge of sand casting, forging, heat treatment process
- Knowledge of measurement system and gage calibration
- Ability to work and develop new approaches and technology to solve issues
- Familiarity with technical drawings and material specifications
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
Zakres obowiązków:
- The Material&Processes Engineering Team (MPE) is part of the General Electric Oil&Gas Advance Technology Organization supporting Engineering, Sourcing and Global Service from the point of view of material selection/properties, special process concerns, Non- Destructive Testing (NDT), failure, lifing and repair technologies
- In this team the Materials&Processes Expert is responsible for:
- Acting as the single point of contact for all Oil and Gas Sourcing for the application and approval of all Special Processes and NDT and more specifically regarding the materials properties and how they react with the different manufacturing processes
- Acting as a resource for all Engineering personnel and Sourcing personnel as an expert related to the chemical and mechanical properties for all manufacturing processes and especially special processes
- Working closely with the Engineering New Product Introduction (NPI) team as it relates to material properties
- Seeking the Best Practices throughout the Oil and Gas Supply Chain
