The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Currently EDC is working on the products of three GE Infrastructure businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy, GE Oil&Gas. www.edcpolska.pl
Wymagania:
- degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- minimum 5 years experience in structural steel design
- experience with Inventor, STAAD or similar software
- experience with application of building codes in US, EU, India, Australia, or the ability to readily acquire knowledge of these requirements
- understanding of current seismic design practices
- English speaking
- DESIRED:
- ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
- strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- strong oral and written communication skills
- ability to drive project
- Six Sigma training
Zakres obowiązków:
- provide technical leadership for a team of structural engineers for ITO and OTR design and analysis
- take ownership of the structural design of product lines
- develop and control standard processes and data libraries
- provide technical consultation on structurally significant product
- problems throughout the business including supplier and field support
- mentor and develop less experienced personnel
