Requirements:

• Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Master degree
• minimum 2 years R&D experience in industrial or academic environment including activities related to rotordynamics of turbomachinery, machinery dynamics and vibrations
• Desired:
• working knowledge of computational tools used in the development and design of rotating components and rotordynamics
• basics in Finite Element Method codes (ANSYS)
• experience with the design and selection of roller and fluid film bearings
• excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills in a global team environment
• ability to work across all functions/levels as part of a team
• excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken

Duties:

• we are currently looking to hire an engineer for the Rotordynamics group, in the Conceptual & Advanced Mechanical Design team which is responsible for advanced development in the fields of train rotordynamics, system dynamics and mechanical system design
• the role will cover following main areas:
• design, development and validation of high performance/high speed rotating structures equipped with advanced devices like magnetic, fluid film and roller bearings, seal, dampers
• advanced rotordynamic analysis to assess and insure dynamic stability of high speed machinery
• validation of designs through lab testing and field hardware review
• participation in the design and testing of prototype rotating machinery from the design phase through the validation and testing phase for the rotordynamic assessment
