The Engineering Design Center www.edcpolska.pl is one of General Electric (GE) global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC is providing engineering services for three GE businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy and GE Oil&Gas. Currently we are looking for a candidate to work on a position of Outage Engineer in the Repair Technology Center of Excellence

Requirements:

• basic qualifications:
• bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
• experience working in a manufacturing, engineering or field services environment
• experience with complex tooling and/or fixture design
• demonstrated analysis and problem solving skills
• ability to work remotely with diverse global teams

• desired characteristics:
• experience in executing Gas Turbine or Steam Turbine or Generator or Oil & Gas outages
• energy design or other engineering experience
• strong interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to coordinate global team members to execute projects and priorities
• strong project support and management skills with the ability to monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments
• strong oral and written communication skills
• anticipate customer needs and ensures that they are met

Duties:

• the “Outage Engineer” will be responsible to support the identification, development, and industrialization of tools and processes that drive outage and field service productivity improvements

essential functions:

• travel to global GE Oil & Gas and Energy customer sites to support RTCoE (Repair Technology Center of Excellence) outage project endeavors by: identifying productivity opportunities, facilitating training for tooling and process usage, optimizing and validating delivered projects, developing training and instruction for delivered solutions, and fully supporting field personnel in the implementation of NPI initiatives
• creation of field repair documents for productivity projects and tools
• develop outage productivity tools and processes from opportunity identification through design approval and complete industrialization
• execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
• substantiation for developed processes and procedure
