The Cold Flow Turbine Test Facility (PoloniAero) -Laboratorium Badań Napędów Lotniczych -has been built in Zielonka, near Warsaw, Poland. It will be one of the largest and most modern laboratory of its kind worldwide, and will carry out industrial R&D for the aeronautical industry, including the testing of engine turbine prototypes and technological demonstrators used in the production of aeroengines.

The project is financed within the framework of the Operational Programme Innovative Economy initiated by representatives of Polish Science (Warsaw University of Technology and Military University of Technology) and the aeronautical industry - Avio Aero (GE Aviation) and Military Aircraft Works No. 4 SA.

Requirements:

higher technical education (mechanics or mechanical engineering, aviation engineering or other related)
knowledge of one of the commercial FEM packages (ANSYS, MSC Nastran / Patran, Abaqus, etc.)
desirable at least 4 years work experience in the required range
knowledge of the strength of materials and structures
knowledge of strength of material using FEM
ability to read technical documentation
good English skills
initiative and creativity in solving engineering problems and good communication skills

Duties:

performing stress analysis using finite element method (FEM) and analitical methods
development, analysis and interpretation of the results of calculations, identification of opportunities and ways to optimize component
document and analysis reports preparation
present results during project reviews
cooperation with other departments through the whole life cycle of the product
timely and correct implementation of the objectives
