Requirements:
- proficiency Designing, Developing and Execution functional testing strategies (Test Plans and Test Scripts)
- proven experience applying different Testing Techniques for different testing requirements
- strong experience performing testing on multi-tier, load balanced web architecture applications
- strong experience testing web based applications based on Java and Apache for Windows architectures
- good experience performing data validation with Microsoft SQL Server. SQL queries scripts
- working experience in technical writing (Use Cases, Transition diagrams, Activity diagrams, Flowcharts, User Stories)
- working experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Ms Word specially)
- working knowledge of performance testing for web applications
- working experience of Software Development Life cycle on Agile or Rapid Development Environments
- experience performing web browsers compatibility testing for IE, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Safari
- experience with Rational Automation Tools: Rational Functional Tester and Rational Performance Tester
Duties:
- the candidate will have the main role of a QA Tester and will have to perform Business Analyst tasks when required
- as a QA Tester role:
- responsible for writing and executing test plans and test scripts. Perform hands-on testing
- capable of writing testing procedures
- plan and execute performance testing
- assess on Quality Risks
- participate in spec reviews and requirements’ definitions in order to detect measurable requirements for testing (completeness and accuracy)
- report and communicate on test activities
- log and track defects through resolution
- trouble shoot and investigate production issues
- conduct usability tests and make recommendations based on best practices and standards
- other duties as assigned
- as a Business Analyst role:
- responsible for deriving Technical Specifications from Functional Requirements
- create or Update Functional Requirements Documents and System Documentation
- capable of assessing well written Requirements for development and testing activities
- track requirements thru completion
- assess on functional risks and determine priorities
- able to produce gap analysis
