Requirements:
- Solid electrical power systems analysis, testing, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- A degree in electrical engineering or closely related field
- At least 2 years relevant experience
- Solid knowledge of IGBTs power conversion applications
- Solid understanding of power electronics, induction generators/motors, frequency converters and power generation electrical infrastructures
- Good knowledge of English, both speaking and writing
- Good instrumentation calibration theory and accuracy analysis
- Solid report, technical specification and product manual writing skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills including presentations
- Ability to effectively operate in the multidisciplinary project team environment and communicate with Customers and Suppliers
- Effective time management skills
- LabView experience will be an advantage
Duties:
- Provide a support for test technicians carrying out end-of-line tests of multi-megawatt wind turbine converters and IGBTs power stacks
- Design, support and improve testing procedures for frequency converters, including independent troubleshooting
- Maintain and improve existing test equipment and test cells used for end-of-line testing
- Acquire and store relevant transient measurements for system performance analysis
- Participate in, promote and improve existing processes; assure proper documentation and release procedures
- Work with Development Engineers to establish test requirements and test strategies for new products
- Prepare new Test Procedures (TSPs)
- Create research/troubleshooting investigation reports
- Internal mentoring and communication; assuring compliance to rules and regulations
- Train other members of the test team and production technicians on theory and design of new/existing test stands
