Requirements:
- engineering background in plastic molding, material engineering or mechanics
- fluent in oral and written English to be able to communicate within international business environment
- at least 3-years experience within plastic molding processes
- detailed knowledge of plastic materials and measurement techniques
- ability to lead projects and handle supplier issues, especially in case of technical problems
- experience within validation of molding tools, DoE or similar methodology
- knowledge of product development
- good communication and teamwork skills, ability to negotiate and solve potential challenges with suppliers
- willingness to travel abroad 20-40 days per year
Duties:
- manage projects related to molding development activities (supplier selection, mold design/build and molding processes) as well as the changes to existing molding processes at suppliers
- interface with personnel from R&D, sourcing, logistics, quality, management, international customers and external mold makers/molding vendors
- solve technical molding challenges together with suppliers
- coordinate mold qualification and validation activities in close cooperation with quality department and the suppliers
- provide design input to R&D based on own/supplier molding experience and technical analysis.
- prepare budgets and follow up in relation to molding projects
