Employer description:

The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Currently EDC is working on the products of three GE Infrastructure businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy, GE Oil&Gas. www.edcpolska.pl

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • +2 years of Design/Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • positions are available for the following roles: electrical generator controls, turbine mechanical, auxilliary systems mechanical
  • working knowledge of domestic and international codes and standards related to power generation
  • equipment
  • Self Starter
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • strong ability to multi-task.
  • strong qualitative and analytical skills
  • ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • fluent English written & verbal skills essential
  • fluent Russian written & verbal skills desired

Duties:

  • provide Electrical/Mechanical support for technical inquiries on power generation equipment within the Aero Energy Product Service process
  • provide engineering support to Contractual Service business during outage planning and execution
  • provide engineering support to Project Execution team during installation & commissioning
  • lead Root Cause Analysis studies on customer issues
  • coordination with design engineering team on field issue communications
  • some international travel required
