The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Currently EDC is working on the products of three GE Infrastructure businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy, GE Oil&Gas. GE Aviation is seeking for Design Engineer (RPCoE). www.edcpolska.pl
Requirements:
- MS in Mechanical Engineering / Aerospace Engineering
- strong computer skills and experience/aptitude for programming (e.g. Matlab GUI design and API, Ansys APDL, Fortran, C/C++, Perl, Tcl/Tk, scripting, etc. )
- experience with CFD and/or unsteady aero a strong asset
- English language written and verbal communication skills
- good team player
Duties:
- tools development and validation for aerodynamic design
- develop tool usage best practices for design use
- work with design engineering organizations to develop required data for methods and tools development and validation
