The Engineering Design Center (EDC) is one of GE Infrastructure global engineering sites, created in 2000 based on an Engineering Alliance Agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. EDC consists of two companies: GE Company Polska Ltd. and Warsaw Institute of Aviation. Currently EDC is working on the products of three GE Infrastructure businesses: GE Aviation, GE Energy, GE Oil&Gas. www.edcpolska.pl

Requirements:

  • technical university education in the field of mechanical engineering
  • knowledge of couplings and gears
  • creative, independent, and possessing good communication skills
  • knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office
  • familiarity with technical documentation
  • ability to perform multitasks
  • ready to spend more time at work if required
  • precise
  • willing to develop technical skills connected with the job
  • good team worker
  • good organization
  • ability to cooperate with other departments
  • good English communication skills both oral and written
  • experience in coupling or gear designing will be additional trump

Duties:

  • gear and coupling selection
  • translation of customer technical requirements into purchase specification
  • evaluation of torsional and lateral behavior of turbo-compressor, motor-compressor and turbo-generator trains
  • documentation related to the supply
  • attendance to customer meetings, carry out visits at site and at supplier workshops
  • manage either engineering or load gear and couplings suppliers
· Technical assessment of supplier offers
